The rebar upsetting machine uses high pressure to cold-press and plastically deform the head of the steel bar to enlarge the diameter and then processes the thread so that the effective section of the processed thread is larger than the steel bar base material to improve the quality of the joint and increase the compression and tensile strength of the connection. Working Features of the Upsetting Machine
- High strength: The net cross-sectional area of the upsetting section of the steel bar after thread cutting is still greater than the original cross-sectional area of the steel bar, that is, the thread does not weaken the cross-section, thus ensuring that the strength of the joint is greater than the strength of the base material of the steel bar.
- Stable performance: The strength of the joint is not affected by the tightening torque. Loose threads or tightening 2 to 3 buckles will not significantly affect the strength of the joint, eliminating the impact of artificial factors and force measuring tools on joint performance.
- Fast connection speed: Use the connecting sleeve to connect the steel bars and tighten them. Because the thread pitch is large and the number of screws is small, there is no need to use a torque wrench, thus speeding up the connection.
- High production efficiency: It only takes 30 to 50 seconds for on-site upsetting and cutting of each thread head. Each set of equipment can process 400 to 600 thread heads per shift.

Safety Operating Procedures for Steel Bar Upsetting Machines:
- Staff must undergo technical training and pass the skills assessment before they can take up the job.
- Before formal processing, the equipment should be debugged and run dry for 2-3 minutes. Processing can only be performed after it is normal.
- The cuts for steel bar cutting should be straight and should not be bent.
- Before processing steel bars, the machine should be returned to the initial position before processing to ensure consistent processing work.
- There should be no transverse cracks in the processed steel bars, and equipment failures should be eliminated in time.
- When refueling, clean No. 46 hydraulic oil should be added.
- Workers should comply with safety protection regulations for engineering personnel.
