Sand Blasting Machine Features

1. Using advanced electric and pneumatic control system, a high degree of automation, good stability, low failure rate.

2. Independent cartridge filter dust collector system with good effect of dust extraction and ventilation. Environmental friendly.

3. Three abrasive funnels at the bottom of the blaster, ensures all used abrasives are recycled, reduce consumption and save cost

4. The blaster consists of 10pcs gun(quantity can be customized). The gun distance, swinging angle and position can be adjusted according to the actual products, Each blast gun is individually controlled.

5. The conveyor motor is controlled by frequency converter, whose speed can be steplessly regulated within the range of 3 ~ 5m / min. and set based on actual requirements to achieve optimal finishing results.

Main Components of Sandblasting machine

Dustless Sandblasting Machine

1.The blast pot is basically the reservoir for media and maintains the pressure necessary for blasting.

2.Nozzles permit media to be sprayed at variable speeds depending on type of nozzle is used.

3.Inlet and Outlet valves monitor the inflow and outflow of air and confirm whether or not the pot is pressurised.

4.The pop-up valve responds to pressure place into the system and pops up to pressurize the system.

5.The Sandblasting Media valve regulates the flow of abrasive from the blast pot. Abrasive media valves have 2 recesss and one outlet: one inlet is for abrasive, the opposite is for air, and therefore the outlet is for the mixture of air and abrasive which will be carried through the blast hose.

6.The abrasive lure prevents abrasive from traveling through the outlet valve.

Types of Sandblasting Machine

Pressure blasting machines

These machines use a high-pressure pump to propel abrasive materials through a hose and nozzle. They are usually portable and are used for cleaning and preparation of smaller surfaces.

Suction blasting machines

In this type of sandblaster, the abrasive material is sucked into the machine and mixed with air through a blast gun. It is suitable for larger surfaces and is used to remove paint, rust and other types of contaminants.

Wet blasting machines

These machines use water to mix and convey the abrasive materials through a hose and nozzle. They are used to remove corrosion and rust from surfaces and to clean stone and brick.

Drum blasters

This type of machine uses a rotating drum to move abrasive materials through a nozzle. They are used for industrial applications and can handle large quantities of material.

Applications of Sandblasting Machine

01

In the automotive sector, they are employed for paint removal, surface preparation, and restoration of car bodies and components. The machines are also critical in shipbuilding and maintenance to remove marine growth, rust, and old coatings from ship surfaces.

02

In the construction industry, sandblasting is used for cleaning building facades, removing graffiti, and preparing surfaces for painting. The machines find extensive use in the aerospace industry for cleaning aircraft components and composite materials. and preparing parts for coating and finishing processes.

03

Moreover, in the oil and gas industry, these machines are used for surface preparation and the removal of coatings in refineries, pipelines, and storage tanks.

FAQ

Q: What are the rules for sandblasting?

A: Clean and decontaminate tarps and other equipment on the worksite. Schedule blasting when the least number of workers are at the site. Avoid blasting in windy conditions to prevent the spread of any hazardous materials. Prohibit eating, drinking, or using tobacco products in blasting areas.

Q: What are the safety precautions for sand blasting machines?

A: Sandblasting safety measures require that workers wear protective helmets, clothing, gloves, safety footwear, earplugs, safety goggles and other OSHA-recommended equipment. Provide workers with proper respiratory equipment. Respiratory protection is absolutely critical for sandblasting processes.

Q: Can you reuse sand after sandblasting?

A: You can reuse the sand as many times as you like but as has been said it looses it's abrasive power with each use. It'll eventually end up like talcum powder. That's the stuff for thin steel. I'd never use new glass (it's actually crushed glass is used not sand) on bonnet type material.

Q: What PSI should I run my sandblaster at?

A: 90 to 100 PSI
PSI. To run a sandblaster effectively, you need an air compressor with 90 to 100 PSI. PSI stands for pounds per square inch, and it refers to the pressure that the compressor system generates. The air tank will drain while you're sandblasting, and it is important to maintain a working PSI of around 50 to 90.

Q: What precautions should be observed when blasting?

A: A red flag will mark the blast area for everyone's safety. Evacuate all personnel 200 meters from the explosives detonation site. Blow a shrill whistle before lighting the fuse. Ensure the blasting operation is carried out safely and efficiently with the help of skilled professionals.

Q: Can you overfill a sandblaster?

A: Overfilling the cabinet with media can cause the action of the sandblast system to unevenly blast. Try to remove some media from the cabinet and try again.

Q: What Is the Purpose of Sandblasting?

A: Sandblasting can thoroughly clean and prepare a surface for painting. This process is for spraying sand at a high velocity toward the intended surface remove stubborn dirt, grime, and other matter. Meanwhile, it is also an ideal technique for concrete, brick, stucco, and other surfaces.

Q: To where does BlastKing deliver?

A: BlastKing delivers worldwide to over 50 countries on all continents. BlastKing’s customers can be found in a wide range of industrial sectors. This includes foundries, forges, the machine-building sector, and the auto industry, for example.

Q: How do you clean the abrasive?

A: A cascade wind sifter is used for most applications. The abrasive is distributed and guided so that it forms a fine mist/veil. This is achieved by having the abrasive trickle over a wide edge. A cartridge filter unit generates a flow of air through the mist of abrasive material. Fines such as broken grain and dust are thus removed from the abrasive and separated via an impact separator and/or filter cartridges. In special cases like in foundries, for example, a magnetic sifter is fitted upstream of a cascade sifter and used to separate the abrasive metal material from the sand and discharge it.

Q: What type of material does the abrasive consist of?

A: For turbine wheel shot blasting, the abrasive material used consists of 90% steel due to the high energy with which the abrasive is ejected onto the workpiece surfaces. Round cast steel shot material ranging from 0.8 to 1.5 mm in diameter is often used. Angular cast steel shot material or sections of wire mesh can also be used. The required surface finish determines what type of abrasive should be used.
