1. Pilot Bore: First, a pilot drill with a built-in transmitter is used to perform directional drilling from the entry point. The operator uses a handheld receiver to track the position, depth, inclination, and direction of the drill bit on the ground and adjusts the drilling path by controlling the rotation and thrust of the drill rod to accurately bypass underground obstacles until the exit point is reached.
2. Pre-reaming: After the pilot hole is completed, the drill bit is replaced with a reamer and connected to the end of the drill rod.
